To The Trade was created by a seasoned professional interior designer who witnessed how the interior design trade had transformed over recent years. Such venues as HGTV, discount wholesalers and "do it yourself" retail stores have changed the public's perception of interior design. With that in mind, To The Trade President and CFO Kristin Adams recognized an opportunity to assist in bringing professional recognition back to the trade.

To The Trade developed and fine tuned its services by speaking primarily to professional interior designers and those who had in-depth experience within the home furnishings industry.
